Running with Kilian

I am definitely going to remember this day for a long time to come.

Running with the moutain legend - Kilian Jornet himself. At a tender age of 23, he has achieved what most of us could never imagine or dream of. 3 times champion of Ultra-Trail Mont Blanc 100 miles (2008, 2009 and 2011), winner of Western State 100 in 2011, 3 times winner of Mt Kinabalu Climbathon (2007, 2009 and 2011), winner of Northface 100 Australia 2011, Table mountain challenge in South Africa and many more. Even then, he is one of the simplest and humblest persons you could ever meet. He would share about his experience, his childhood home in Pyrenees and the mountains that he loves to anyone who is willing to listen. His love for the mountains and trails and his spontaneous approach toward life and running are what set him apart from many others.

After today's run, I am definitely impressed with the charisma, humility, simplicity of this mountain runner. While many would aspire to be like him, I think what he would have wanted is for everyone he has the opportunity to come into contact with to have a sense of love, wonder and appreciation for the mother earth. He is heading home after this for a month break before his skiing season starts in December.

Bye for now. Hope we can meet again in the future. All the best Kilian!
