It's my final week of training before tapering down for Flinder's tour 50km in Glasshouse Mountain. It's my second trail race this year (first race since i returned from a string of woeful injuries in May-June), and I am definitely feeling very excited about it. This week I have been running in the race route, exploring the area and attempting some of the climbs. The route is undoubtedly challenging, beginning with a steep climb to the peak Mt Beerburrum and descending thereafter, giving the quads and calves a good wake up call before the next 48km of running. I definitely prefer to run in hilly terrain, to feel the calves and hamstrings burn when you ascend and the wind blowing on your face when you descend.

Anyway i don't feel like writing too much now. Will update more after my race this Sunday.
