It's a slow return to running for me. Whilst usually such period is filled with a lot of excitement and anticipation for greater volume of running, my mood is undecidedly ambivalent. I am acutely aware of the possibility of further injuries if i don't learn to slow down or listen to my body. Long-distance running is really a game that's filled with endless variables. There are lots of questions or decisions to deal with each day. To run today or not. To go hard or easy. To go long or longer. To rest or to fill in other forms of training. I, for one, really suck in making these decisions. Somehow i always get it wrong and end up getting injured.

Speaking of injuries, i am really thankful with the period of rest that i had for the past 10 days due to injuries. During this time, I was able to listen to God with greater clarity with regards to the important things He wanted me to do, in both short-term and long-term. Everything happens for a reason, and i can't see why this time is any different. In God's Kingdom, there is no random, no 'by chance', and no co-incidence. Every event has a meaning behind it and it takes the eyes of faith and heart of wisdom to be able to understand. Most of all, it's really important trust God's heart, especially when you can't see the reason. His heart is good. So I am really glad that i got 'injured' this time. :D Haha.. Yes you heard me right. I am glad i got injured. But i certainly don't want to get injured again in the future, esp with KL marathon being 6 weeks away. Every day counts.

God, please grant me the wisdom to deal with the variables of running which i am so weak at. Help me to run each day for Your glory and pleasure. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
