Last day in Surgical Ward

I definitely had an awesome time in Surgery, so awesome that I am seriously considering specialising in surgery in the future!

I just want to thank all the people whom i have met and worked alongside with in the surgical ward. To the registrars, I want to thank you guys for your patience and willingness to teach us. In this period of training as intern, nothing is more important than having great mentors, who can impart lifelong and practical lessons to us. I can now close laparascopic wounds, perform sub-cuticular suturing, and hold the laparoscopic camera confidently now. Let's go Indian brothers for dinner sometimes!

To my fellow colleagues: Jyoti Singh, Gaynor, Rachel, and Shaima, it's really fun working with all of you. You guys add so much fun and laughter to an otherwise mundane and boring day. Sometimes, it's your courage and guts to stick to your stand for the patients which inspire me. Jyoti's EDS is still the best amongst us. (Active problems: Unwell, febrile, vomiting. :D :D :D)

To the nurses, you guys are awesome! Your love and care for patients only inspires me to want to give my best too. Sharen - the mother of 2A ward, I will miss your nagging and constant harassment for us to complete our EDS. As for the rest, Tunde, Jo, Julie, Annette, Donna, Tess, Kristy, Mata, Jessica, Paula, Wendy, Jane, Rhiannon, and many others. I will definitely miss working with all of you! Sorry for forgetting to chart the drugs or IV fluids sometimes, and our illegible handwriting, and for not writing down the plan for patients properly. You guys know how horribly fast ward rounds can be in surgical ward!

I thank God for each of you. May His love and grace fill you each day and carry you through the good times and the bad times. :)

Sharen - our mummy!
The awesome nursing team in 2A
